The Obuasi East Municipal Assembly has procured a 30-seater Coaster bus to support its administrative, operational and community development activities.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. William Kofi Adzowu, disclosed this in his sessional address during the Third Ordinary Meeting of the Third Session of the Third Assembly, held at the Old Court Building in Wawasi.
He said the acquisition followed a directive from the Assembly to strengthen its logistical capacity. The vehicle is expected to support the movement of authorised staff, official delegations and approved groups involved in municipal programmes.
The bus will be used for field monitoring, community engagements, training programmes, stakeholder meetings and other official assignments.
Hon. Adzowu said the vehicle would soon be unveiled to the public. He stressed that it is a public asset and must therefore be managed responsibly to protect the investment made by the Assembly.
