In a move to empower women in business and leadership, AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine has announced a unique opportunity for women entrepreneurs and women leaders based in Obuasi to attend the Absa InspireMe Conference in Lusaka, Zambia. The initiative is part of the company’s broader commitment to advancing economic inclusion and promoting international exposure for local businesses.

According to AngloGold Ashanti, the selection process is open to women entrepreneurs and leaders who meet specific eligibility criteria, with registration forms available at various key institutions in Obuasi.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for this fully sponsored international exposure trip, applicants must:
- Own a registered business located in Obuasi
- Have operated the business for 5 to 7 years, with a working capital base of at least GHS 150,000, including fixed assets
- Employ a team of 6 to 10 workers
- Possess a valid Ghanaian passport and Ghana Card
- Be medically fit to travel (confirmed via a medical report)
- Have no criminal record
- Be up to date with vaccinations
