Ashgold SC And Inter Allies Lose Appeal

Information gathered by Obuasitoday.com is that AshantiGold SC has lost its appeal at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Appeal’s Committee together with Inter Allies. The two teams have both been demoted to Division Two

The GFA’s disciplinary rod fell heavily on AshantiGold SC and Inter Allies with the announcement of their demotion to the lower tier of Ghana football following their involvement in a match-fixing incident recorded in the 2020-21 football season.

The two clubs were demoted to division two after the Disciplinary Committee found them guilty of Match Manipulations in their 2020/21 GPL matchday 34 games at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium which the miners won 7-0.

AshantiGold SC, however, went for an appeal at the GFA’s Appeal Committee but lost it. The two teams have both been demoted to Division Two.

Officials of the Club and Players who participated in the above-mentioned match have also been sanctioned by the GFA Disciplinary Committee
