Former Obuasi MCE King Zuba Nominated as Kumasi Mayor

Former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Obuasi, Ofori-Agyeman Boadi, popularly known as King Zuba, has been nominated by President John Dramani Mahama for the position of Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.

The nomination, made in accordance with Article 243 (1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20 (1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), is pending approval by the Assembly.

King Zuba is widely regarded as a strategic choice due to his exceptional leadership record in Obuasi. During his tenure as MCE, he led numerous development initiatives that revitalized the municipality and positioned it as a hub of progress and opportunity.

Should the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly approve his appointment, King Zuba will be tasked with spearheading efforts to rejuvenate the city’s infrastructure, enhance service delivery, and restore Kumasi’s reputation as the “Garden City of West Africa.”
