Obuasi Police Arrest 3 Men Accused of Holding JHS Girls Hostage, Sexual Assault

Three men have been arrested by Obuasi police on charges of holding three teenage girls hostage and sexually assaulting them.

The girls, all Junior High School (JHS) students, were reported missing on April 24, 2024. Following a tip on May 8th, police raided a residence in the Bossman suburb where they found the missing girls along with the suspects: David Opoku (23), Klinsman Osei (25), and Eric Boateng (32).

According to police reports, the girls were found naked on a bed with the suspects when officers arrived. One of the girls managed to escape during the raid.

The arrested men allegedly admitted to having sexual relations with the girls, claiming they were their girlfriends and had been living with them for two weeks.

The girls will receive medical attention and support. The suspects are expected to be arraigned in court next week.

This is a developing story. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
