The Communications Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Obuasi West Constituency has expressed its heartfelt appreciation to former President and flagbearer of the NDC, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, for nominating Hon. Faustilove Appiah Kannin as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Obuasi Municipal Assembly.
In an official statement signed by Lambert Issaka, Acting Constituency Communications Officer, the Bureau described the nomination as a significant and historic milestone, highlighting that Hon. Faustilove Appiah Kannin will become the first female MCE for the Obuasi Municipal Assembly.
According to the statement, the nomination is in perfect alignment with President Mahama’s vision of inclusive governance and excellence. It also reflects the will and aspirations of the people of Obuasi, who see in Hon. Faustilove a true representative of progress, unity, and effective leadership.
“Hon. Faustilove Appiah Kannin, congratulations on your well-deserved nomination,” the statement read. “Having risen through the rank and file of our great party, your appointment will go a long way in building the interest of the party and promoting the development of the entire constituency.”
Described as a servant leader, a unifier, and a visionary woman, Hon. Faustilove is recognized for her dedication, experience, and deep understanding of the issues facing Obuasi. Her leadership, the statement noted, will be instrumental in delivering on the collective goal of building “The Obuasi We All Want Together,” in line with President Mahama’s Reset Agenda.
The Bureau pledged its full support and collaboration for Hon. Faustilove as she prepares to assume this significant role, emphasizing the expectation of massive developmental projects and job creation initiatives under her leadership.
