President John Dramani Mahama has picked up nomination forms to contest the 2016 general elections.
The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho picked up the form on behalf of the President who is seeking a second term in office.
About eight political parties have so far picked up nomination forms in their bid to be elected to lead the country on December 7.
They include, the National Freedom Party(NFP) led by Madam, Akua Donkor, United Progressive Party(UPP) with Akwasi Oddai Odike as its flagbearer, Nana Agyenim-Boateng’s United Front Party(UFP), Kofi Akpaloo’s Independent People’s Party(IPP) as well as the Great Consolidated Popular Party(GCPP) and the Democratic Freedom Party and now the NDC.
The parties are expected to submit their processed forms by September 29 and 30.
