In a remarkable celebration of music and gratitude, Heralds Choir-GH popularly known as the Obuasi Heralds Choir is set to host the largest choral concert ever held in Obuasi. This monumental event marks the choir’s 10th anniversary celebrations, and the concert, aptly named “OUR GIFTS OUR GRATITUDE,” promises to be an unforgettable evening of harmony and celebration.
The grand concert is scheduled for Saturday, 3rd August 2024, at the Glorious Zion Mission International Church, located near Ridge, Obuasi. Festivities will commence at precisely 4:00 PM, with doors opening an hour before to accommodate the anticipated large crowd of choral music enthusiasts.
Heralds Choir-GH, winners of the Maiden edition of the OTUMFUO OSEI TUTU II COMPOSERS COMPETITION, renowned for their exceptional performances and musical excellence, has curated a diverse and captivating program for this special occasion. The concert will feature an impressive lineup of classical choral works, contemporary gospel, and traditional African melodies, ensuring a rich and varied auditory experience for all attendees.
Highlighting the event is the esteemed guest minister, Minister Joshua Ahenkorah, whose powerful voice and spiritual presence are expected to elevate the concert to new heights. Known for his inspirational performances, Minister Ahenkorah’s participation is a testament to the significance of this milestone for Heralds Choir-GH.
Adding to the grandeur of the evening are performances by two notable guest choirs in Obuasi: Catholic Voices GH and Dom-Peace Chorale GH. These choirs are celebrated for their vocal prowess and will join Heralds Choir-GH in creating a symphony of sound that celebrates a decade of musical achievements and community engagement.
