We’ve been Too Complacent with Obuasi Elections- Chairman Obimpeh

The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Yaw Obimpeh has urged electorates not to give any chances to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) but rather make it a point to protect the ballot box on the election day.

He made this statement during the Campaign launch of the Obuasi East and West National Democratic Congress (NDC), last Saturday at the Obuasi black park.

Chairman Obimpeh, who mounted the stage dancing to Shatta Wale’s ‘Mahama Paper’ warned party executives not to leave any stone unturned to ensure President John Mahama retains his seat and also put Mr. John Ackon and Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi in Parliament come December 7th.

“The NPP won elections because the NDC are always complacent with elections especially here in Obuasi which has cost them to loose both seats in Obuasi”

Worthy Candidates.

Mr. Yaw Obimpeh entreated the supporters to vote for Messers John Alexander Ackon and Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi come December 7th because of the developmental projects they have done for the Municipality.

“Our candidates are the most worthy among all other candidates here in the Obuasi East and West Constituency looking at their track records and the projects they’ve accomplished from 2009 till now”, he said.

The vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur, Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, former Ashanti Regional Minister, Samuel Sarpong and other MMDCEs were all present to give support to their compatriots.
