The Association of Serial Callers in the Obuasi and Adansi enclaves, Adansi Serial Callers, has presented assorted relief items to flood victims in the Obuasi Municipal.
The donation followed last week Wednesday’s downpour which flooded most communities in the Obuasi Municipal especially Mensahkrom, Nyameso, Bidiem, Kunka, Bogobiri and Gausu communities. The flood affected over 2000 people.
The leaders of the Adansi Serial Callers appealed to individuals, corporate bodies and other organizations in Obuasi and beyond to support them in helping to respond to the plight of these flood victims.
‘‘We are not yet done. We are planning to move to other affected areas and so we need everyone’s help. It is not always about political discussions on radio. Some of these things are also our responsibility,’’ Gyedie Anamon told Obarima Kwadwo Gyamfi, host of Aseda FM’s Ghana Nti morning show.
The items included foodstuffs, toiletries, detergents and some cash. Affected residents of Kunka, Bogobiri and Gausu communities received these relief items.
