I won’t Contest my MP, Obuasi East DCE Assures

The District Chief Executive for Obuasi East, Hon. Faustina Amissah has dismissed speculations making rife that she harbors no ambition to unseat the current Member of Parliament, Hon. Dr. Patrick Boakye Yiadom.

The revered DCE made it known on the Ghana Nti Morning Show at Aseda FM on Monday when asked by the host, Obarima Kwadwo Gyamfi if she will respond to the numerous calls by her people to lead the constituency in the next parliamentary contest.

She vehemently declined and stated empathetically that it hasn’t crossed her mind to do so. She was quick to dismiss the speculations entirely.

The DCE further said the current lawmaker, Dr. Patrick Boakye has demonstrated enough competence and dedication in his discharge as a member of parliament.

“Whatever we need as a district he ( the MP) is assiduously doing so why the need for me to unseat him,” the DCE quized.

Hon. Faustina Amissah thanked the lawmaker for his selfless service and promised to support him in the realization of the overall development of the district.

Dr. Patrick Boakye Yiadom is a second-term MP for Obuasi east. He came after he won parliamentary primaries over the former Lawmaker, Hon Edward Ennin in 2015.
