ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT

The Supervisor – Lifting Equipment and Trucks is accountable for the execution, monitoring and control of maintenance of Supervisor – Lifting Equipment and Trucks through the application of operational policies, standards, processes and procedures to maximize plant availability in a sustainable cost-effective manner and minimize operational risks in order to meet the business’ strategic objective.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Qualification

  • Minimum of Trade Master Certificate in Automotive/Truck or crane/hoist repair or equivalent with over 5 years working experience
  • Higher degree in Mechanical Engineering at a Bachelor or Master level with further practical experience in accordance with requirements from the industry’s standard.
  • Certified industrial mechanical engineer with a recognised certificate or diploma such as City & Guilds or similar.
  • Supervisory training certificate


Experience 

  • An experienced HME/LV & Lifting Equipment and Trucks Maintenance Supervisor with over 5 years’ experience in, preferably, Underground operations/ maintenance
  • Knowledge of SAP PM module
  • Driving and operating skills with valid driving/ operating license will be an advantage

Mobile Crane Operator.

ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT

The Mobile Crane Operator reports to the HME Supervisor and is accountable for operating any mobile crane in a safe and compliant manner executing work of lifting items during refurbishment, later maintenance, site-wide.

The work is to be executed in accordance with detailed tasking in accordance with applicable Government of Ghana and AGAG safety and environmental requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work compliantly with the requirement of Government of Ghana Agencies, environmental, health & safety legislation and AGAG regulation
  • Accept personal responsibility for his own health and safety and that of every mine worker affected by his work

Plant Metallurgist   – Fixed Term Contract

Role Purpose

The Plant Metallurgist role is responsible for monitoring metallurgical parameters and providing technical advice to the operational team.

Role Accountabilities

  • Conduct weekly conveyor belt cut and weight meter calibration as well as silting test
  • Conduct daily tanks profiles (three times) on every shift as well as daily scats rates for all mills, measure ball charge and record results.
  • Monitor lime, steel balls and lead nitrate addition to achieve optimum levels.
  • Monitor and ensure the smooth performance of oxygen plant, cyanide sparging facility, TAC 1000 cyanide analyzer and WAD cyanide analyzer.

ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT

The Engineering Manager – Underground, is accountable for the development and implementation of Underground Fixed Infrastructure maintenance, including the Winding, Mine Services, and Mine Dewatering through the application of operational engineering policies, standards, systems and procedures to maximise plant availability in a sustainable, cost-effective manner and minimise operational risks to meet the business’ strategic objective.

The Mechanical Supervisor is accountable for planning, monitoring, and controlling the work output to standard of all mechanical aspects, refurbishment in first instance, through policies, standards, processes and procedures.

  • Analyse and trend predictive maintenance data (vibration, IR, etc.) to determine plant condition and report this condition for action.
  • Monitor general physical condition of plant assets and report
  • Monitor preventive and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct periodic audits of all mechanical infrastructure during refurbishment, later maintenance

Clerk of Works – QAQC. 

ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT

The Clerk of Works – QA/QC will inspect the workmanship, quality, and safety of work on construction sites and report back to senior managers and Clients. The Clerk of Works – QA/QC will be conducting regular site inspections and checking that construction specifications are followed correctly. ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT

The Shafts & Winder Specialist, reporting to the Construction Manager, is accountable to maintain all winders and shafts on site during project duration, that is on surface and underground (sub-vertical), through the provision of training and guidance in accordance with an application of national and international, as well as AGAG, safety and operational engineering policies, standards, systems and procedures. The role incumbent shall ensure all maintenance personnel are trained fully and licensed in a compliant, safe and sustainable cost-effective manner and minimize operational risks in order to meet the business’ strategic objective.

The role is also accountable for planning and executing all related refurbishment and maintenance with regard to the winders & shafts to deliver safe, productive, and efficient operation of all shafts on site.
