The Obuasi Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, has today warned medical staff of the Obuasi Government Hospital not to do anything that will undermine the usage of the National Health Insurance policy or its members.
“Let us not punish those who come to your facility with NHIS cards; let’s try to give them the care they deserve”, he stated.
According to him, he receives complains daily from Health Insurance holders on the poor treatment they are being given whenever they visit health facilities in the Municipality especially the Government hospital.

Some of the Items donated to the Municipal Hospital were suction machines, general surgery packs and supplies, surgical instruments and dental supplies estimated at a value of approximately GHC 1.3 Million (Ghana Cedis)
