Obuasi West MCE Cuts Sod for 6-Unit Classroom Block at Anglican Primary School

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Obuasi West, Hon. Faustilove Appiah Kanin, has officially cut the sod for the construction of a new storey building comprising six classrooms for the Obuasi Anglican Primary School.

This major infrastructure intervention follows years of appeals from the school community over the deplorable condition of both the primary and junior high school buildings. The existing structures have suffered from years of neglect, posing a challenge to effective teaching and learning.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Appiah Kanin emphasized her administration’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure across the municipality.

“Students deserve a safe and comfortable environment to learn. After the completion of this new classroom block for the primary school, our next target will be the Junior High School building,” she stated.

The new facility is expected to ease congestion, provide a conducive learning atmosphere, and uplift the image of Obuasi Anglican Primary School.

The MCE reiterated the assembly’s broader commitment to investing in education and called on parents, teachers, and stakeholders to support the efforts in providing quality education to every child in Obuasi.
