From 25 students in 2019 to nearly 500 Students and 24 classrooms, The Steady Rise of Study Bridge School

On September 2, 2019, Study Bridge School opened its doors for the first time, marking the beginning of a remarkable educational journey. Founded by Mr. Seth Kyei Baffour at Obuasi Nhyeaso, the school began humbly with eight classrooms, one office, and a small cohort of 25 students ranging from Transition to Grade 4. Despite its modest start, the school had big aspirations, with a dedicated team of nine teaching staff and two non-teaching staff, all committed to providing quality education to the young minds entrusted to them.

The early days of the school were not without challenges. Shortly after the school commenced operations, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, causing a major setback not only for Study Bridge School but for the entire global education system. However, the resilience of the school’s management, staff, and students shone through, as they worked tirelessly to overcome the obstacles presented by the pandemic.

In the years following the pandemic, Study Bridge School experienced significant growth. Today, the school boasts 24 classrooms, including ten dedicated to the lower school, each equipped with in-built washrooms. The campus has expanded to include two offices, a kitchen, a computer lab, 13 toilet facilities, and four school buses, along with an errand bus. The staff has grown to a total of 44 teaching and non-teaching members, with the student enrolment nearing 500.

The school’s founder, Mr. Baffour, has made it clear that the development of Study Bridge School is far from complete. Plans are underway to construct a state-of-the-art classroom complex, a football pitch, and an advanced car park, all aimed at creating a serene and conducive atmosphere for learning. Mr. Baffour’s vision is to continue shaping the dreams and aspirations of the students, ensuring that they have the best possible environment in which to excel academically. Their first batch of JHS 3 students sat for the BECE this year.

The school remains committed to its mission of providing quality education and nurturing the potential of each student, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
