Atwima Nwabiagya DCE angry Over late coming to work of his staff

In his bid to ensure he fulfills government’s vision to stimulate growth in the country through effective dedication to duty, the district chief executive for Atwima-Nwabiagya district assembly in the Ashanti region, Hon. Michael Amoah Awuku has expressed his anger and displeasure when some assembly staff failed to report to work on time.

‘’How can you report to work by this time of the day and believe you are working to promote productivity towards the contribution to government business? ’He asked.

The DCE was of the view that some people have taken government work for granted but under his administration as the chief executive of the Atwima Nwabiagya district, he won’t entertain such character of habitual late comers who have taken government work as their personal property and report to work anytime of the day during working hours.

Speaking to the media when the attention was drawn, Hon. Amoah Awuku said, His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the commander in chief of this country is more focused towards the positive productivity of this country and if workers who are supposed to work hard to make the government’s vision come true comes late to work, then it would be in vain.

According to him, what he has personally observed is that, some people believes that if they are late, no one can will query them and based on that they deliberately comes to work late.

The NPP government, he said, promised Ghanaians to work hard to develop the country and he won’t allow some people to spoil the vision of the president by employing lateness towards their work.

Going forward, Hon. Awuku said, no member of his administration should take things for granted as far as government business is concern as it has been the case in the past.

Though the issue in years back couldn’t be controlled in the manner that it should because the management of time in most public institutions is totally abused and time queries and other forms of punishments should be given attention to so as to set a deterrent to other culprits. That, according to the DCE, will put a stop to people who report to work late when clients are supposed to be served, which leads to low productivity.

‘’I have charged the district coordinating director to query those who failed to report to work on time so that it would be an example for other workers’’, Hon.Awuku.
